Pillar of Salt

Last night I went over to Bury St Edmunds to meet up with Rick and his partner for a meal. Debra, who had explored the town while we had been at the football, said it was an interesting place so I decided to have a look around and do a few geocaches this morning before driving home. I have to say I was very impressed and thought it was a terrific place. This unique road sign, in front of the Abbey gatehouse, particularly took my eye. It is called the Pillar of Salt and is a Grade II listed building built in 1935. I will have to return with kwdiane.
