Day 29
After a great night’s sleep, we went to a really nice farmers and craft food market in Auckland, it was really buzzing in a lovely setting. We had breakfast next door, then went shopping. I wanted to buy a travel suitcase/back pack from MacPac, it was a bit of a drive to Westfield, but got what I was looking for, with 30% members discount. We went to the Supermarkt so I could pack it up with NZ goodies.
We headed out to Piha beach on the West Coast and had some sushi, then a wonderful walk along the beach. There were quite a few people in the water, but for me the waves were too big.
This is the place 8 years ago, that my new iPhone 7 was washed away by a big wave, so I was really careful this time. It was so lovely to have the sand and foamy seawater around my toes.
After the walk I had a lot of rearranging and packing to do, and get ready for the first leg of the flight to Beijing.
