Day Eight: Transit

Backblip (due to temporary absence of connection)

Today we transferred from Rome up to Lake Garda for the second half of our Italian holiday. Picking the hire car up didn't go as originally planned as we didn't get the car we originally reserved but got upgraded to a Mecedes Estate (smaller than our original choice). However it worked out OK in the end as the car was great to drive and had air conditioning that coped extremely well with the fierce 37 degree heat. Parking at the motorway service station under shade we made a quick bolt through the fierce sun for the sanctuary of the cafe. We arrived at the apartment it time to head out to stock up on essentials (wine, beer, drinks, cheese etc) before bedtime....themepark tomorrow.
