Remembrance Day

It's been a grey day today but no rain to speak of.  Maggy and I were at the Aged care facility this morning and at 11 am there was a service on TV which stopped the resident and I in our tracks chatting and we kept a minutes silence together.  Next minute, there was a roar as one of the Lightnings from the nearby air base did a low pass, no doubt overflying the memorial in town where there was a service.  The facility normally has the local RSL do a service and apparently they did one on Friday so it was just Bingo on the in the activities room.

I always like this memorial not far away of the local men who enlisted from 1914 onwards.   1915 was a big year.  It's hard to imagine that was so many years ago.
