Late

We’ve all had a busy day…..Janelle and Ella spent the morning sorting through her “stuff”, deciding what will stay with us until she returns to Uni next February, and what she will take back to Wellington for the summer.
Meanwhile, in the garage Doug and I were trying (very trying) to put together my desk that I had in our old place but didn’t fit or work here when we built 12 years ago.
In the end, Ella decided and wisely so, that it wouldn’t fit in her room. Next year, Ella and five friends have rented a flat….and get this, it’s called “The Pink Teapot on Leigh Street”.  Seemingly, lots of the student flats have weird and wonderful names.

This afternoon we attempted, and got half way through all the family photos of their month long trip last December…..Hong Kong, Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Hoi An are now in “best folders” for me to plug away and edit as I see fit in readiness for a photo book at some stage.
Still to do are Ho Chi Minh City, Siem Reap in Cambodia, Phuket and Singapore.  Maybe we’ll find time at Christmas.
Wines, dinner and ice cream in a cone are all done, no photos taken so snuck out to the garden with my phone for a blip.   I chose the peony Coral Sunset.
