Shadows on the fence mean

Sunshine!! Which lasted about half an hour but was much enjoyed. My black eyed Susans- which I believe are annuals, are still doing well.
My day started with a surprise - a dead rat next to my bed, which I spotted and luckily didn’t stand on, when I went to the loo about 3am. Portia was acting differently - very bouncy and excited, energised and purring loudly. I put it outside the back door and went back to sleep.
There’s a couple of crows often hopping about on the scaffolding next door. When I got up, I put the body on the tiles outside, so its shape was very obvious. An hour or so later it had gone; I hope you don’t find this too disgusting. That’s their job, carrion crows, and it’s better than the decomposing process.
This excitement aside, I felt rather poorly still. Achy, headachey and a bit shivery. I suddenly thought - what if it’s Covid - I’ve never had it. I googled the symptoms and it seemed possible, so I dashed to Tesco for a test, just before they closed. I’m seeing an older relative soon, so I must check. Very nostalgic, sticking the swab up my nose and swirling the liquid. Anyhow I don’t have it.
In the evening I rewatched the first 2 episodes of Wolf Hall. I want to revisit Wolf Hall/Bring up the bodies before I start the Mirror and the Light. I’m so excited - I hardly ever watch TV but wouldn’t miss this for anything. What the Guardian has already called “6 hours of utter tv magic”
