In memory of Uncle Jack
This portrait of my mother's brother Jack Peacock was painted from a photo, after he had been killed fighting on 8th April, 1943 in Tunisia. His armoured car took a direct hit during the battle of Medjez el Bab. He was killed outright. I always wish I had known him. He apparently used to light up a room when he walked in with his charisma, charm and fast wit and he was also a great mimic, something I seem to have interited from him!
Thank you Jenny for hosting the Mono Monday challenge.
