A grand day out.

During the night the weather man came, rolled up the thick grey cloud blanket which has depressed us for so many days and sent it off to the laundry.

The lovely sun reappeared at last. A little hazy at times, but such a lift to the spirits. Time for a celebration.
Mrs. K. drove us to Settle and we took the train on the famous Settle to Carlisle railway. So many Blippers will have been on it but surprisingly we had never done it before. Rode to Appleby then took the next train back to Settle. It was such good fun.
Then we drove to the place where you can see the also famous Ribblehead Viaduct. Main Blip. Quite a feat of engineering.

Extras show a bench at Settle station and a book in the station shop. I resisted it and bought a souvenir tea towel ?
Enjoyed it all ever so much.
