Rolling Allong

It is not often one sees a steam roller these days. As a child I remember seeing a road roller occasionally, although not a steam roller. Today we spotted this steam roller working in the car park of the Deeside Railway. A man with a shovel was filling in potholes, and then the steamroller was levelling and pressing his handiwork.

Looking it up on online with the registration number NO5892 I found that this steamroller was built in 1922, originally belong to Essex County Council. So it has travelled quite a long way.

Another predominantly cloudy and wet day.
