Rotisserie chicken chez Piotto

............if only a photo could capture the smell of roasting chicken.

I didn't make it to the war memorial but managed to keep myself silent for a minute at 11 O'clock.  Found it hard to believe that Starmer is the first British P.M to be in France for the Armistice ceremony since Churchill.   

I glanced out of my kitchen window as the sun was going down and realised, with the leaves down from the plane trees on the Allée des soupirs, that I can see the Pyrenees. This makes me inordinately happy.
