War Memorial

………………………………..in Berwick this afternoon, resplendent in the sunshine. There’s a footpath and garden around the monument inside the railings so it covers a good area, the wreaths stretched round the entire circumference…without counting I think there’d be 30-40 easily. An extra of the poppy cascade in the village, taken on my way to Zumba this morning.

An energetic day with my usual Zumba, cuppa and walk along the prom this morning…we did stop mid class to observe the two minute silence. This afternoon I was tasked with picking the wee one up from school as MC was gainfully employed lecturing at university in Edinburgh so he had the car. The weather was so nice I decided to walk over and back again so I’ve done just short of 17000 steps (over 7 miles)!! I did pick chips up on the way home for my tea as I’d nothing prepared…and I did enjoy them.

I took the wee one to get his feet measured and ended up buying him new school shoes and a pair of boots, which he wouldn’t take off…he looked quite the little dude in them! The school shoes he’s been wearing are about 11/2 sizes too big for him and I'm very surprised he hasn’t done himself a mischief in them!
