Woohoo, blue sky

Wowser does a bit of blue sky lift the spirits.

Lots of course admin today, but at l-o-n-g last got the last volunteer training scheme of the year underway. Logistically this one has been ridiculously difficult, some lessons learnt about not trusting stakeholders to do the recruitment.

A productive day of Wellness Walks stuff.
But.

The pick of the day was my meeting about the book. With an author I admire, who also consults as an editor. I didn't really know what to expect, but I was kinda floored by his obviously honest, but ultimately impressive praise. Not something I always manage to take well, left me quite humbled. I wasn't really raised to hear my name next to words like profound, inspirational or brilliant. He feels it needs some minor restructuring and some highlighting and downplaying, all of which I can easily see shouldn't be done by the person who's taken a decade to craft it.
So I need some processing time. Much as S wants to be involved, wants to introduce me to his publishers, he needs to be paid for his time and I need to decide if I have the time and energy, bravery (? possibly) to change things at the last minute and shoot for the stars.
