Curlew
A bright sunny day for a welcome change! There were several Curlew feeding in a farmers field as I drove to do my volunteering at Donna Nook. There are still no seals very close up and many are hidden by the tall grasses in the salt marsh. But a field with curlews made up for the distant seals even though the curlew, being the largest wading bird we have, is so very skittish and flies off as soon as you are spotted! Nevertheless it is a joy to see them.
