Sun Pillar

The scene as I left for work this morning.
I am told the strange phenomenon on the left is a Sun Pillar. It is caused by the interaction of the light with ice crystals.
The day was dull after that apart from a lovely visit at Lunchtime to see fellow blipper in hospital where she seems to be making a good recovery. Hopefully she will be home soon.
Arrived home and had a lovely visit from M who stayed for dinner. Good to see her again
