back to art journaling
I wandered back to an online workshop I've dabbled in this year - view an earlier blip of another journal page I did. I figured engaging in this might help nudge me into doing more mixed media art... and I was right! See the extra photo for a second journal page.
It's a "work at your own pace" course, which is nice because I can read through the lessons and choose something that intrigues me. Offered by Daisy Yellow Art - an inspiring website for anyone who's interested in mixed media art. Tammy offers tons of information, inspiration and instruction! Many of you have seen the annual Index Card A day (link to my blips) challenge I do... Tammy is the one who organizes it.
After reading a lesson on different kinds of art journals, I was inspired to do a couple of pages concentrating on colors I like. I chose some I thought worked well together and started gathering related papers of various colors. I could use these pages now to inspire future projects... and they have been an excellent way for me to jump in and start!
