Remember

Remembrance was the theme for Mono Monday.
This was part of the display outside the office. Just a quick snap of the black silhouette of the soldier. I noticed later the sky reflected in the upper half.
Gave it the mono treatment, but left the reflection in colour. Made me think that as the decades pass, the memories of the fallen of the older conflicts are also fading. One day, the great wars of the 20th century will be to our descendants what the Napoleonic and Crimean wars are to us today.
If you look here at the list of 19th century wars it's a bit disheartening, there are hundreds of them and that's just 100 years! 
Humanity is conflict, it's how we became human.
