Still Lifes
We had a great start to the day. We got up early (for us) and were about to leave for our 9am dental appointments in Cirencester when we had a call from the receptionist to say they were cancelled as the dentist wasn't coming in today. She only works Mondays so goodness knows when we will get new appointments. Oh well.
It mucked us about a bit as mrsfb had arranged to meet up with a friend after her appointment for a mooch around the town. Luckily she managed to catch a bus to Cirencester so I didn't have to drive her in. She got one back too.
I suppose it gave me a bit more time to do some admin. Amongst other things I ordered a new microwave and booked a gas boiler service. I also got some info from another dentist in case we have to give up on our current one.
This evening I drove to Cirencester myself as we had a practical session at camera club on Still Life photography, following on from the theory presentation last week. I took my light box and light pad along, together with some book reading props. I checked it was all working OK before I left and got my blip. It was quite complex to do really, involving some focus stacking, object selection to sort out the background, and then some work in Topaz Studio to tart it up. I was quite pleased with the overall result.
The evening was a lot of fun. I didn't get a lot of images, the extra is probably the best one. The arrangement was done by another member so I can't claim any credit there.
