Up Periscope!

It is incredibly noisy here today, as the builders, um, build... the kitchen, utility and downstairs loo are now gutted and stud walls, pipework and cabling are dancing around each other. 

I escaped to a council meeting earlier this morning and I have a full council meeting this evening, but while I am here, it's bedlam - and of course there's no central heating either! So I am hiding in my study, processing some shots I took yesterday at Slimbridge but only managed to look at today.

I am inordinately pleased with this one. Caught within the very second the cormorant surfaced, in late afternoon low sunshine, and with the background woodland foliage reflected in the dark water.
