Collie & MacKenzie

Sculptures of climbing partners Professor Norman Collie and Skye born John MacKenzie look towards Sgurr Nan Gillean and the Cuillin Ridge.

Together both men formed a prolific climbing partnership which lasted fifty years.
As pioneers of the Cuillin they mapped and named many of the peaks.

Although they died nine years apart both are buried side by side at Struan on the west side of Skye within viewing distance of the Cuillin.
