Local colour

So … this is not Havana; it’s the Premier Inn at Manchester airport. We’ve made a lot of mental U-turns in the last few days, and in the end it was just too risky to fly off to a country on the other side of the world with dodgy communications when S’s mum is still in hospital and not doing that well. S’s sister R is there at the moment, but she’s moving house from Whitstable to Yorkshire next Wednesday. So, here we are — driving up there tomorrow morning.
