Baith Lums Reekin

A fine enough day, breezy, mostly cloudy with sunny spells at times, slightly cooler too.  Things seemed to calm, then suddenly a gale and drizzle showers tonight.

Up early, another day on the mini essykert with James.  Around Lerwick first thing, plastic recycling waste collection from businesses.  We headed out west after break, black bag waste.  Kitty has been at the vets all day, time to be spayed.  She's got on great, still high on the drugs when I picked her up after work.  Hopefully a speedy recovery.  Working in the shop again tonight.  Fairly quiet with busy spells.  Feet up before bed.

A fine day out with James, plenty of yarns and fun along the way.  We were busy with black bags, taking turns on the pick ups, depending what side of the essykert the waste was on.  I had a moment sitting in the cab, then noticed this old house had it's lum cans reeking.  It's not unusual to see a house with a reeky lum, especially an old house, but it is unusual to see both end lums reeking, not a common sight these days.  It definitely gives off a warm cosy winter feel.  Looking to North House, Wester Skeld.
