Playing Fields Colour
An abstract demonstrating that there is still plenty of autumn colour around even coming up to mid way through November.
Incredibly, I cut the lawns again today, the latest I can ever remember doing so in the 29 years we have lived in our house. Our green waste collections finished last month so it will have to be bagged for disposal.
Late in the afternoon we popped over to say goodbye and bon voyage to our youngest nephew. He is off to Sri Lanka for a month with his girlfriend, before they carry on to New Zealand for a year to experience the country, working their way around. We bought him a telephoto zoom lens as a leaving present, something he admitted he couldn't afford himself, but we know he will be hoping to work with friends on their whale sightseeing boats and we want to see the best possible images he can take.
He was genuinely chuffed to get the lens and I even gave him a crash course in transferring the images onto his phone using a Nikon App, so you never know, we might just get to see some images before he returns home late in 2025.
