Last Bits of Color
The evening light was pretty in the woods. Most of the leaves have turned, and are dropping fast.
Since we live under tree cover, we have a LOT of leaves to deal with this time of year, so much so that we can’t see our road after a windy day. We deal with the problem by mulching them. We have a riding mower with a mulching blade that we use throughout the season. The mulched leaves act as fertilizer and provide a habitat for wildlife such as lizards, frogs, turtles, birds and insects.
