Day 10. Still at sea
Last night we went to a marvellous show at the theatre, sorry, the theaterA very professional production- all singing, dancing and superb staging.
I slept better last night, and even made it through dinner, the bar and the show without coughing.
An unscheduled day at sea. So it’s a day of eating at various restaurants - all white table clothed ones today - a morning and afternoon talk, and watching a movie - The Hurt Locker - not our normal fare, but it was quite gripping. Though we didn’t finish it due to the theatre talk. The films are on a loop, so they’re not that convenient.
There was a showing on the big screen of ‘Good Morning Vietnam’ this afternoon, but we sort of had already watched it in our room, where I made very good use of the MUTE button whenever RW was yelling.
The pool area was closed off for most of the day, due to slightly rough seas, but it opened up later and we had a dander round the activities - two people were playing padel tennis, and it looked great fun.
We went to our first favourite bookings-only restaurant (there are three, the rest are walk-ins). Now, three restaurant meals in a day sounds over the top, but actually, the servings are quite modest.
There was a ‘comedian’ in the theater theatre after dinner - we could hear him shouting from along the corridor, so a quiet nightcap (Baileys helps my throat) and then bed.
So today, food. The main one - I had Pad Thai, JR had miso cod. All delicious.
Ho Chi Minh City tomorrow!
