Lest we forget

I've only visited the National War Arboretum a couple of times before but it's so worth a return visit. It's such a peaceful place and very thought provoking. I had a lump in my throat a couple of times but it's good to be reminded of those brave men and women who have paid the ultimate price. I took many pictures but this was one of the many sculptures that grabbed my attention with it's simplicity in portraying such a powerful scene.
