A day in the Blue Mountains

We had a full day driving around the Blue Mountains seeing a feast of spectacular views and spotting varied and new antipodean wildlife. Out of lots of photos I decided on a Crimson Rosella (main),  a Swordgrass Brown butterfly and a cicada (extra). I did manage to see (and hear) a pair of kookaburras but the photos I took were not great.
We did have our first serious rain as we sheltered in the Rhododendron Gardens in Blackheath for 30 mins as a thunder storm seemed to circle above us.  It then cleared and we continued our adventure.
