Tiny Tightrope Walker
A quiet day but for lunch out with fellow retirees. It’s always lovely to get together; we try to meet every couple of months, but we all seem to have so many commitments that it ends up being twice a year if we’re lucky! So it’s a catch up on news - children, grandchildren, hobbies, travels. One of the group beats us all in the news stakes; she and her partner have got married since our last meeting - a very quiet affair only involving her immediate family. We’re all delighted of course.
I still find social occasions tiring, and by the evening I decide I’m just not up to camera club - despite there being a speaker that I like - so it’s an evening watching Bake Off instead!
In terms of photography, it’s a morning wander round the garden where I take a shot of the heather which is providing very welcome autumn colour. It’s only when I look at the shot later that I see all the gossamer threads - and the tiny tightrope walker! Tiny, but not really simple!
