Nicky had seen something about glow sticks in milk bottles online, but went to work for the evening after drawing on the milk bottles, leaving me to put stuff outside despite not particularly wanting to participate. I fished out our tiny colour-changing tea lights, which Amos then put into the bottles and out outside before I'd had a chance to finish them: on a windy night I would not risk litter with plastic bottles without weighing them down with water, so taped the lights to the lids and put a COVID test bag inside the neck of each in case the tape failed, though next time suspending the light a few inches down inside the bag would work better.
