The pines, Buttermere
Deb was feeling up to a decent walk today, I was up to a short one. So we drove over Honister Pass, I got dropped off at the South end of Buttermere; Deb drove onto the South end of Crummock, parked up and walked round all of Buttermere, whilst I meandered up the eastern side of the lake. The light early morning was simply fabulous, and the the complete lack of wind for the first hour offered fantastic reflections.
This shot needed considerable bracketing and processing, as the sun (veiled with cloud) was within the frame, so I bracketed 7 shots at 1-stop intervals to retain details in the brightest highlights and the deepest shadows.
Not an official celebration, but my 4700th Blip
