Sunrise over wet setts
I took a quick break in the middle of my hour on the exercise bike this morning to run up our steps and into the street to check the sunrise. From my position in our sitting room, the pinks in the sky that I could see through the sitting room window indicated that it was a good one. This was the case, with a lovely effect on the wet setts in our street, as blipped.
As is usual on a Wednesday, I spent my morning at the gym. There was an amusing incident in our aquafit class this morning. Although there is a limit of 18 members of the class, today Karen added up 19 people in the pool. On hearing this, Liz remarked 'This is the moment when you wonder about the identity of the 'extra' person. Oh my goodness, it's me! I'm meant to be on the tennis court in 15 minutes.' She made a rapid exit and - remarkably - managed to reach her game in time.
While Mr hazelh was at Jack's house this afternoon (to play guitar, but probably also fixing Jack's computer), I have been occupied by household admin, feedback on a questionnaire for work colleagues, answering email, and keeping Mummy hazelh company.
Tonight we have lentil loaf on the dinner menu. This will be followed by slobbing on the sofa in front of the television.
Exercise today: 1 hour on the exercise bike; aquafit class; swim (20 lengths); strength training class; walking (~12k steps).
