The view from Richmond Hill

As it was sunny again I decided to go for a bike ride round Richmond Park and did a diversion to look at the famous view from Richmond Hill looking over the Thames. I was planning to go to the allotment but instead sorted our garden as some of the impatiens are now over so had to be discarded.

I was going to plant the amaryllis that I got from Sarah Raven but when I read the instructions on her website ( annoying that there were none with the bulbs!) she said you should soak the roots overnight first. I’ve never done that before as usually I get a kit from M and S or somewhere. So I will plant tomorrow and we will see if these are better bulbs..they were more expensive!
