Uncle Karel
This obviously a back blip. My apologies but I’ve got lots to catch up on and it’ll be what it is . I am prioritizing keeping my appointments up now and my health
This is my late Uncle Karel who was a WWII vet so I’m paying tribute to him on Veterans Day . He was a photographer who ended up taking images of the concentration camps and I think , on many ways it destroyed his mental health — at least I think it contributed to his alcoholism upon his return to the states . He was talented artistically but post WWII he had troubles with employment etc so my Dad hired him to run the supply division of my Dads family tree business. He was rather a curmudgeon on the surface , but underlying they he was a pretty good guy. But his drinking remained a problem which was sad . As a child I was scared of him a lot and fear him , but a lot was just for “show” and amounted to little. But now looking back in his life I think the war years contributed greatly to molding his behaviors. I pay tribute to him for his service and all he endured .
