A Tale Of Two Cinemas

We've been to Cheltenham today to see Small Things Like These at Cineworld. I wouldn't recommend it. Mrsfb's verdict - probably the worst film we have ever seen. I wouldn't be so extreme, but I was very disappointed. I found it confusing, and some of the cinematography was a bit weird, experimental/amateurish in places. It all seemed a bit dark and flat too, compared with the way the trailer looked on my PC. Oh well, just our opinion.

We went in on the bus but, because the timing was a bit tight for the mid day one, we caught the earlier mid morning bus. That meant I had a bit of time to search for a blip. I was looking for something curvy for Wide Wednesday and popped into another cinema, the Tivoli. We've never seen a film there and I'm sure it's very plush inside but the upstairs lobby is not at all welcoming, with no staff and no indication of what films are on apart from a leaflet on the reception desk. It has got a nice curvy staircase though, and with no staff around I got a couple of shots.

We had lunch in Beefy Boys which has been mentioned favourably on here. It was OK, but expensive for what you get, and it was very busy and cramped downstairs, whereas it was empty upstairs, obviously closed. We had chicken burgers (we'd had beef burgers the night before!) so may go back again one day and try the beef.
