Market shop in sunshine.  Two stallholders told me the council want to reduce the permanent stalls to 27.

Later read in the Cambridge Independent newspaper that the cut is by two-thirds.  Cambridge city council have a plan to make it a civic centre involving: revamping the Guildhall which is fabulous inside, renovating the Corn Exchange entertainment venue and tarting up the market place.  The initial cost was forecast to be £20m, then £36m, then £55m for the first phase and the current full cost £87m.  All without any real idea where the money will come from and when other services are being cut and there's an £11m budget gap.

Hunkering down as the evening gets chilly.

Pleasant evening everyone.
