Skein Of Gulls

A beautiful day again. John arrived early in his lovely big blue tractor to finish cutting the hedge. He had to stop doing it yesterday afternoon as he got so much abuse from drivers.

Lovely long chat with my daughter about her short break in Dubai. My granddaughter and her boyfriend went too. They all very much enjoyed spending family time with my grandson who loves it there but they weren't keen on the place.

The sky started to develop a touch of the mackerel this afternoon but I didn't think it would make a very good image. What a gift! The gulls that fly west to roost usually do it in dribs and drabs. Today they did it in formation! :)

A robin watched Mish and me from a field maple. A rather battered red admiral settled on my camera lens and I managed to get a shot of it afterwards. Lovely to get a distant image of Jack heron by the lake through the hedge. A grey dagger moth was well camouflaged on the mortar between the bricks of the southerly wall of number thirteen disused glasshouse. (Extras)
