What ......
So last week she started crawling, this week she's found her feet - help we're not ready yet!
Church this morning was a time of peace, just what I needed, after the quiet of the service, the social coffee tone afterwards is a blessing too.
I popped into Tesco after church to pick up some lunch as Ali was coming over with Bonnie. When I got home they were already there and Bonnie was showing off her new skill.
After lunch another member of the Vestry came round and we worked on the profiles. We have a meeting on Tuesday when we will look at them as a group and see what more needs to be added. We've a busy weekend ahead as it is also our church AGM.
Colin cooked us some fillet steak this evening, delicious, I made a version of Diane sauce to go with it.
That sauce always reminds me of my mum who died in 1979. Colin and I got married in the summer of 1975 and the flat we were renting wasn't ready when we went on honeymoon - to a caravan at Tayvallich in Argyll for those who are interested. The caravan stay was our wedding gift from Colin's cousins.
While we were away my parents moved all our belongings into the top floor flat in Marchmont and mum left all the ingredients for Steak Diane, along with the recipe, in the fridge for our homecoming.
At 21, I'd never lived in a house that wasn't my parents - my college home was a hall of residence - so having to learn to cook on a regular basis was a steep learning curve for me. Certain of the recipes I make remind me of her, in a way they are a bit like a hug from her. 45 years since she died in May 1979, a lifetime ago.
We watched another episode of Ludwig tonight, I'm rather enjoying it .
