The other side

Not entirely sure what I said yesterday, but the surgery went from a relatively minor kneecap replacement to a full on brand new knee joint. I saw the surgeon’s photos of the inside of my knee this morning, and apart from being a bit gruesome it was easy to see that a new kneecap wouldn’t have lasted very long at all. Don’t worry, I won’t share the photos.

In the meantime I’m being brilliantly looked after, very well fed, and looking forward to a visit from the Rower shortly after lunch.
