Thanksgiving cactus

It was such a dismal day outside today I am giving thanks  for some bright cheer with this cactus now blooming.  I know they don’t all bloom at xmas.   

Thanks for poem suggestions.  I used to have a little death and dying library but must have tossed them the last time I cleared off the bedroom shelf.   hummm.  So I’m going to get a few more contemporary….Not much of a fan  of “self help” books but there are other interesting ones to look at that might be helpful.   Will report.   Got one of short stories from lots of authors… 
 I keep whittling away at stuff ever more slowly.  No rigid plan.
