Mr Pukeko

Had a lovely afternoon tea at L & M's this afternoon........lovely to catch up with a few people I haven't seen in a while.

Stopped at duckpond on way home.......not a lot going on so Mr Pukeko became my focus of attention.  They're beautifully coloured birds who look so gawky with their big feel and waddling gait.  Under normal circumstances I'd think them cute but having once seen one raid a duckling family and fly off with one in its beak I've changed my mind a bit.  I know nature is tough but......
