Pedwar deg blynedd yn ôl gwnes i ymarfer T'ai Chi a Bwdhaeth. Ar ryw bwynt roedd rhaid i mi ddewis pa oedd fy mhrif ymarfer, a dewisais i Fwdhaeth. Parhaus i gyda T'ai Chi ond fel 'ymarfer eilradd'. Yn y diwedd, gyda'r gofynion o waith a phlant roedd rhaid i mi roi gorau i T'ai Chi.

Nawr rydw i wedi darganfod grŵp 'Shibashi' yn y pentref. Shibashi yw fel T'ai Chi i hen bobol (neu felly rydw i'n deall). Mae'r grŵp y cynnal ei dosbarthiadau yn ystafell cefn clwb 'Earl Haig' yn y pentref. Roedd y grŵp yn groesawgar iawn. Roeddwn i'r unig ddyn yn y grŵp, ond doedd y merched ddim yn ymddangos i feddwl. Mae'r symudiadau yn dyner a syml a gallwn i ddilyn y dosbarth heb ormod o drafferth. Roedd fel y saithdegau eto.

Af i eto wythnos nesa. Mae'n dda i gael tipyn bach o ymarfer tyner ac mae'n dda cwrdd â phobol newydd yn y pentref.

Ble roedd yr holl hen ddynion? Yn y dafarn, rydw i'n credu. Mae'r clwb 'Earl Haig' yn gwasanaethu pawb. Diodydd yn y blaen, Shibashi yn y cefn.

Manteisiais i'r cyfle i ddefnyddio’r ffilm yn fy nghamera INSTAX cyn ei ail-osod i roi fel anrheg Nadolig, felly heddiw mae llun gyda fi o Eglwys Santes Fair (wrth gwrs). (Efallai roedd y fynwent yn lle teilwng i ddweud ffarwel wrth y camera)

Roedd yn ddiwrnod llawn. Pan roeddwn i'n yn y dosbarth Shibashi, Nor'dzin yn cynnal grŵp llyfrau SyM yn ein hystafell blaen. Yn ddiweddar prynon ni cadeiriau newydd - cadeiriau neis sy'n gallu plygu. Felly roedd digon o seddi i'r grŵp llyfrau.

Rydyn ni hefyd wedi dechrau symud pethau ein ffrind o'r llofft oherwydd mae hi'n symud i Gas-gwent dros y penwythnos. Felly ein hystafell blaen yn edrych fel ystafell aros ar y r orsaf, yn llawn bagiau.

Yn olaf, rydyn ni'n mynd i ffwrdd am y penwythnos. Rydyn ni wedi bwcio taith bws i aros mewn gwesty yn Ninbych-y-pysgod. Rydyn ni erioed wedi gwneud rhywbeth fel hwn o'r blaen (oni bai eich bod chi'n cyfrif ein hamser yn Bhutan, ond mae hynny'n ymddangos gwahanol).

Forty years ago I practised T'ai Chi and Buddhism. At some point I had to choose what my main practice was, and I chose Buddhism. I continued with T'ai Chi but as a 'secondary practice'. In the end, with the demands of work and children I had to give up T'ai Chi.

Now I have discovered a 'Shibashi' group in the village. Shibashi is like T'ai Chi to old people (or so I understand). The group holds its classes in the back room of the 'Earl Haig' club in the village. The group was very welcoming. I was the only man in the group, but the ladies didn't seem to mind. The movements are gentle and simple and I could follow the class without too much trouble. It was like the seventies again.

I'll go again next week. It's good to get a bit of gentle exercise and it's good to meet new people in the village.

Where were all the old men? In the pub, I believe. The 'Earl Haig' club serves everyone. Drinks in the front, Shibashi in the back.

I took the opportunity to use the film in my INSTAX camera before remounting it to give as a Christmas present, so today I have a picture of St Mary's Church (of course). (Perhaps the cemetery was a fitting place to say goodbye to the camera)

It was a full day. When I was in the Shibashi class, Nor'dzin hosted a WI book group in our front room. We recently bought new chairs - nice folding chairs. So there were plenty of seats for the book group.

We've also started moving our friend's things out of the loft because she's moving to Chepstow over the weekend. So our front room looks like a station waiting room, full of luggage.

Finally, we're going away for the weekend. We have booked a bus trip to stay at a hotel in Tenby. We've never done anything like this before (unless you count our time in Bhutan, but that seems different).
