With knobs on . . . . .

Spent an afternoon wrestling with a track I'm recording in Logic, on the Macbook. A great program, but so, so complicated in use, especially when it's loaded with 3rd party plugins.
Onscreen here are a few plugins that emulate vintage audio recording hardware. The Plugin on the left ( CLA-76 ) emulates an old Urei 1176 compressor, and the plugin on the right ( REDD37-51 ) emulates the recording console at Abbey Road studios, which was responsible for many iconic recordings, including Pink Floyd's "Dark Side Of The Moon" . . .
Great program, great plugins, but boy is the learning curve steep - I've spent more time rifling through PDF files of manuals than I have playing music . . . .
