A walk with the dog...

I had no idea today would be 365 pictures so I have nothing clever prepared. As it is, it was a day to celebrate as I finally after many months - since mid-February - my Fuji IS-1, my mainstay digital IR camera has returned. It went for a severe swim and was econcomically unrepairable. They offered to send me a refurb one, took my money and then nothing. I had a backup, a converted Nikon 5400, but it has died. Then out of the blue today, after nearly 6 months, the IS-1 suddenly appeared and when I had long since given up since the camera had been discontinued.

Today, I am grateful for the day I was given, the past 365 days, and the past 57+ years, all of which have been an enormous gift. I am thankful for blipfoto and the friends I have made here, as well as Lisa, the friend/instructor who got me started on blip as a class project, the "seeing" that photography has brought me and for the long walks with the dog and baby that have also come from taking that daily picture. And lastly, I am thankful for the beauty of light unseen.

I know several folks that I admire have cut back on the frequency of their blips when they hit one year, but this has meant so much to me that I am going to plunge ahead.

Lastly, to everyone who I owe comments to ,,, I am drowning in the cup project and will be up for air sometime after the wedding on August 22.
