Sublime Sunset
We had a strangely enjoyable day at Biobank which I am recording here for the sake of comparison with past and future visits:
Thirty minutes in the MRI scanner for head and brain scan with matching shapes and faces games to do
Eye checks and neck scan
Thirty minutes in the scanner for heart and bones with breathing exercises to do.
A looong time on computer based lifestyle and health questionnaires, hearing test and playing lots of games (probably to identify our dementia levels!)
urine sample
blood pressure (whitecoat syndrome response from me!); height, weight, blood sample; grip strength test
We are both wearing heart monitors for two weeks
We finished after noon and I picked up a sandwich on the way out. We drove the longer but pleasanter way home via Colne to avoid the dreaded M62 and paused at the now reopened Cobbles and Clay for cuppas, toasted fruit bread and cake.
Back home there was just time to relax before I jogged down to the village to meet WilsdenWalker for a hobble around St Ives Estate and to catch the sunset through our neighbours' plants.
