Deep in the Wood

Another working day, meeting a colleague so she could see what I do when sampling water supplies.

Late in the afternoon I stopped for a short period to visit this small wood, where the sunlight was trying to penetrate.  I'd hoped to be able to get closer to the beech trees backlit but the combination of bracken and bramble proved impossible to penetrate. in the end I took advantage of these bracken leaves back lit by the sun.
