Scrapped

As I was clearing out our old office stuff I found a laptop that had belonged to one of our clients. It was left with us as a backup and although it was very old and probably didn’t have anything confidential on it we ( the client and I ) decided that we’d have it destroyed.

I took it along with a load of other IT kit over to the nice folks at Cambridge Computer Recycling who took the drive from the laptop and fed it into a huge shredder. It’s now part of that pile in the box I blipped.

All that data, all those words… gone in a second.

The recycling place is full of odd, old, interesting technology, and the people that run it work hard to reuse and recycle as much as possible. I asked them what the oddest thing they had ever had…. Sex toys !! The mind boggles, I hope they didn’t get reused!!
