Cobwebs
For the last two or three days we have been cloaked in mist varying from light to peasouper. Thursday my habitual afternoon with Kanyl always means wandering his garden looking for a blip.
Autumn is the season for gossamer, the thin strands of spider web used by dispersing young spiders blowing on the wind. I have usually seen it as numbers of single strands in more of less parallel lines on vegetation. Obviously dropped there after blowing on a breeze.
Spiders had built these tangles of web on the top of Kanyl's box hedge. The days of mist had caused droplets of water to form on the threads. An interesting blip I thought.
