Rain. More rain. Another man round with a quote.
Paperwork, mortgage man.
Meeting with mortgage man wasn't as long and arduous as we'd expected. Headed round to Hanging Bat for recovery drink afterwards. Took a shot for the folio from the window.
Went to Timberyard for dinner. Timberyard is like a drug for me. When I'm not drinking weird, wonderful, exceptional cocktails like The Colonial ( gin, IPA, marmalade and home brewed Tonic water), I'm eating impressive, well imagined dishes that taste like the ingredients they are made with. Seasonal, local produce.
And then, all that aside, the style and decor of the place is right up my street. I'm seriously considering popping in with my camera (out of service hours) to take some photos. Little things like the door half way down the stairs made me grin ear to ear. There's a pommel horse outside the loos. The drinks specials board is a reclaimed school chalk board. On top of it all, most of the furniture came from the Atrium - the Radford's previous venture - where we got married, so that also brings with it lots of fond memories.
Anyway, I think you can tell I like the place. I just hope it lasts a long long time so I can eat there many more times.
