Sunset watching

A morning meeting was followed by giving a topical talk to a church group n Washington DC ….and the US constitution.

Mainly pictures from our week there in 2022 supplemented by a good bit of background reading as I am no constitutional expert.

Nevertheless finding out how the constitution came about and what compromises were needed to get the then states to approve seemed a tortuous process and required the Bill of Rights 2 years later. It was all about keeping the goalition of states together and to secure a balance between federal and state power.

We’ll see how that goes in the next 4 years.

Afterwards it was clear that a lovely sunset was forming so a quick trip up Blackford Hill seemed in order.
