Looking south. Looking west in extra.

On Great Torrington commons, once grazed but now being slowly reclaimed by nature.
I had an early morning eye check up/appointment, no change in my vision and feeling grateful for the “free” NHS service.
I Popped into the Bickford centre (a social cafe where the over 60’s can gather for some banter and chat £1 for a warm beverage and a couple of biscuits). Dippy enjoyed the love and attention.
Back to base to warm up the penultimate portion of venison sausage casserole before promptly nodding off to sleep.
A most glorious afternoon of sunshine warmed up the van and set up a beautiful evening with full moon and glorious skies. I Met Vivienne for tea and homemade pear cake + cream, she had popped into her garden briefly but was spontaneously drawn into a full on sock wetting hike around her 90 acres with her faithful friend Maisie.
I performed a similar stroll with dippy with the challenge of watching the sun perform a light show in the West or the full moon waxing in the opposite direction.
Jackdaws in their hundreds were having their last shouts of the day and pheasants settling into their favourite roosting places ideally safe from badger and fox.
Dippy was full of joy and excitement of being alive and well performing Catherine wheels in the damp cold grass.
Generally a relaxing calm day with rest and recovery ❤️‍
