Falling into place
We took a break from cleanup at the beach house and went down to the waterfront, this photo shows low tide but tomorrow there will be three days of extremely high tide and dangerous beach conditions.
The arborist who took down a big tree for us last year came by today and cut down the large tree that was uprooted on Monday night. We were left with this large stump and rootball. See extra photo.
We were pleasantly surprised when a City of Rockaway crew showed up with big equipment to remove the rootball, it almost filled a big dump truck. They returned to repair the water line that was through the roots, we were lucky the pipe was there so we didn't have to pay for the removal. In the end, they filled the hole and uprighted a nearby large rhodendren that had been uprooted; this part of the yard looks great. I didn't take a phot of the finished area yet.
